We understand that every group event is special and unique. So we offer options, to customise each booking to your own requirements and preferences.

What are the options for Group Bookings?

Choose a Seated Dinner - from 6 to 28 guests (maximum at One Table) in the restaurant,  or up to 45 guests over 3 or 4 tables. For a Private Function we can seat up to 60 guests.

Or opt for a Mix and Mingle Gathering in the semi-private Havana Room  - for 25 to 60 guests, offering fingerfood Platters and Drinks. Please enquire using the form below, and we'll look after all the details!

 

What are your Group Menus like? 

Our set group menus are a great way to eat at Carmen Jones. Sharing Feasts of 'Rolling Tapas', or a less casual 'Shared Tapas/ Own Main' dinner are our 2 styles of menu. Both of these come with 2 menu variations to choose from, and 2 price points (for two or three courses). To see our current set menus please just enquire using the form below, and we'll email them right over to you. Choosing a set menu means you know everything will flow as it should, and how much the food will cost. We'll take care of everything, and you and your guests can get on with catching up and enjoying yourselves.

 

Do we have to have a Set Menu?

 For groups between 6 and 18 people, you may also choose to just order on the night, from our regular menu. For groups of 18 - 24 people we do recommend one of our group menu options, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. For groups of  more than 24 people a set menu is required. We love to customise each occasion to suit what works best for you - please don't hesitate to  get in touch. We're also happy to meet up at the restaurant  and have a chat about what you have in mind.

What is the maximum number of people that can be accommodated for a Private Function?

We can comfortably host 80 to 100 people in a casual mixed seating/standing style of event; For a Private seated dining event we can offer from 45 to 60 people.

 

Is there a minimum number of guests required for a Private Function?
Yes, the minimum is 30 guests for a private function (exclusive use of the restaurant for your group only). A minimum spend/venue hire charge will apply. Guest numbers are to be finalised three days before the event, and that final number will be the chargeable catered amount.
 

Can we book for a daytime function?

Our normal opening time is 4pm - but Yes! we'd love to cater for your daytime function at Carmen Jones. Any time from 12 noon, for a minimum of 30 people.

 

Can customers bring their own cake and store it in Carmen Jones' fridge?
Yes, customers are welcome to bring their own cake, there is a $20 BYO Dessert fee.

Can customers bring or organise their own decorations for a special occasion?
Absolutely! Customers can bring or organise their own decorations to personalise their special occasion.

Is BYO allowed for a fully hired restaurant?
Yes, BYO is possible for a fully hired restaurant. However, a venue hire charge would apply as a minimum spend is required for exclusive bookings.
 

Is a refund possible for deposits on group bookings?
Yes, deposits for group bookings are 100% refundable up to one month from the booking date. 50% refundable 2 weeks out, negotiable depending on circumstances.
 

Is there a cancellation fee for private functions?
Yes, cancellation fees apply and vary based on the size of the booking and proximity to the event date.

Is outside entertainment allowed for private events?
Yes, customers can organise and directly pay for outside entertainment for their event.

What is the minimum and maximum time limit for a private function?
The start time is negotiable and events must conclude by midnight at the latest.
